Our philosophy is simple: we embrace AI as a powerful tool that serves the artist, not as a replacement for them. We firmly believe that the heart of all music lies in human ingenuity, emotion, and experience. AI can be an exceptional co-pilot, but the producer must always remain in the driver’s seat.

The Artist at the Core: Our Guiding Principle

The non-negotiable value of every track on Universe of Tracks is the human touch. The creative core, the final arrangement, critical mixing decisions, and the mastering must remain the product of a producer’s ingenuity and sensibility. AI is a tool to expand the sonic palette, not to paint the entire picture.

What We Allow and Encourage

We view AI as a creative partner. Its use is permitted and encouraged when it functions as an assistant to augment the human production process. Examples of acceptable use include:

• Idea Generation: Using AI tools to spark melodic ideas, chord progressions, or rhythmic patterns that are then developed, modified, and arranged by the producer.

• Sound Design: Creating unique sounds, synthesizer patches, or drum samples via AI tools, which are then curated and integrated into a human-led production.

• Mixing and Mastering Assistance: Employing intelligent plugins (like iZotope Ozone, Soothe, etc.) that analyze audio and suggest technical adjustments, leaving the final creative decision to the producer.

• Stem Separation: Using AI software to extract stems (drums, bass, vocals) from a sample or a producer’s own composition for the purpose of remixing and re-engineering.

• What We Do Not Permit

• Our platform is not a marketplace for automatically generated music. To protect quality and authenticity, we do not accept tracks where the human contribution is not predominant and meaningful. Specifically, the following are not allowed:

  • 100% AI-Generated Tracks: Songs created end-to-end by platforms like Suno, Udio, or similar services, where human intervention is limited to writing a text prompt without subsequent, in-depth arrangement, production, and mixing.

  • Entirely Artificial Arrangements: Tracks where the structure, progression, and evolution of the song were decided entirely by an AI.

  • Copyright Infringement: Using AI to clone the style, voice, or melodies of other copyright-protected artists.

  • Defining “Significant Human Intervention”

  • For us, “significant human intervention” means the producer has used their unique skill, taste, and vision to shape the final output. The producer must be the primary creative director responsible for:

    • The Arrangement: The decision of how to structure the track (intro, verses, drops, breakdowns, outro, etc.).

    • Sonic Curation: The careful selection of which elements (whether AI-generated or not) to use, modify, and integrate into the track.

    • The Mix & Master: The final balance of all sonic elements to create a cohesive and professional-grade product.

    • The Future We’re Building: Our AI Music Policy in Action

    • Trust is paramount. For this reason, during the upload process, we will require every producer to declare whether AI tools were used in their creative process. This information will be clearly displayed on the product page.
